The 2-m AST is fully automatic. Nightly observational data arrives via email each morning to TSU's research astronomers. Fairborn Observatory in the Patagonia Mountains of southern Arizona hosts six automatic photoelectic telescopes (APT's) for TSU, as well as the AST.
